Imam Mohamed Sehmawy
Imam Sehmawy holds a language and translation- Islamic Studies degree from AlAzhar University and a certificate of Tajweed from Qirat Institute.
He has been in the US since 2007 and he is the Imam of the Islamic Center of Tri Cities, West Richland, Washington presently.
Imam Kemal Cecunjanin
Imam Kemal was born in Brooklyn NY and raised in Connecticut. He studied abroad for 10 years in Yemen, Jordan and Syria with some of the leading scholars in the Middle East. He's currently a Yale Eli Whitney student, majoring in Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations (NELC) and Religious Studies. He's also the Imam of the Monroe Masjid & regularly teaches around the Tri-State Area.


Sheikh Alaa Ahmed


Sheikh Alaa is currently an Imam (5 years) and Quaran and Arabic teacher (12years) in the Islamic center of North Plainfield, NJ. He was previously the Imam of Masjid Bilal in Toms River, NJ for four years.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language - May 2001, The Islamic University of Azhar, Cairo, Egypt.
  • Post graduate studies in the Linguistics Department in Arabic Grammar - May 2003, The Islamic University of Azhar, Cairo, Egypt.
  • Certificate of Experience in Preaching from Directorate General of Daawa & Religious Publicity, Al-Azhar.

Sheikh Ahmed Nur Hilowle


Sheikh Ahmed was the full time Imam at the Waltham Islamic Society, MA from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, Imam Ahmed volunteer in a few Masajids in Massachusetts between 2001 and 2002. Imam Ahmed, was also the imam of Masjid Minneapolis from 1999 – 2000.

Imam Ahamed speakes Somali, Arabic, and English languages. He is proficient in reading Alqrat such as Hafs from Asim and periodic reading from Abu Amr. Imam Ahmed studied at El-Shafei school for the education of Sharia and memorization of the Holy Quran in Mogadishu, Somalia.

Sheikh Mohammed Nurudeen Alhassan

Sheikh Mohammed is currently the Resident Imam at the Gallup Islamic Center in New Mexico where he has served since 2013. Between 2008 and 2013 Sheikh Mohammed was the Imam for the Islamic Center of El Paso in Texas and the Islamic Society of Southern Texas in Corpus Christi. He also worked as an Islamic Studies teacher at the Bronx Islamic Cultural Center and was an Executive Committee Member at Masjid Al-Nasr in Bronx, NY. He has actively participated in Dawah, Interfaith programs, and Youth programs. 

Sheikh Mohammed received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Islamic Studies and studied at the Islamic University of Medina in Saudi Arabia. He has also pursued a Master's Degree in Sharia at the American Open University of Virginia.

Sheikh Ahmed Tijane Diallo

For the past nineteen years Sheikh Ahmed has been the visiting Ramadan Imam at two Washington DC Masjids - The Islamic Center of Washington, DC and The First Hyjah Mosque. He is also a Professor of Arabic for the Government of Senegal Arabic Language Department Ministry of Education. Sheikh Ahmed obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Arabic Literature from the University of Medina in Saudi Arabia and earned an Arabic Teaching Certificate Ecole Nornale Superieure de Dakar Senegal. He was awarded 1st Place in Quran Memorization by the University of  Medina and Best Professor in Arabic Studies by the Ministry of Education in Senegal.
Sheikh Ahmed has extensive knowledge and expertise in the following areas: Arabic Language both modern and classical (Etymology, Grammar, Rhetoric and Poetry). Oulomoul Hadith (Hadiths Science), Sira (History of Prophet Mouhamed), Ousoul al Fiq (Islamic Jurisprudence: Al hibadat “Islamic Pillars” and Al Mou-amalat “Social”), Ouloumul Quran ( A Tafsir “Quran Interpretation”, A Rasmu wa Adabtou “Quran spelling”, Khira ate “Rules of Quran lecture”, Asbabul Nouzoul “Referencial Revelation in history”).
